SP-3. [Special Symposium] Economic Security and Sustainability of Environment, Resources, and Energy

Organizer(s): Noda Suguru (Waseda Univ.), Kimura Masaharu (Sumitomo Chemical), Iino Fukuya (UNIDO), Fujioka Satoko (Keio Univ.)

In addition to the global shift toward low-carbon markets through a just transition, rapid geopolitical shifts are compelling many companies to reconfigure their resource and energy supply chains. Concurrently, the resulting surge in resource extraction has given rise to new environmental concerns. In this context, we examine the requisites of a sustainable supply chain from the perspective of economic security - one that enables companies to maintain competitiveness while spearheading global technological innovation.
