Information technology has changed the world and Industry 4.0 or artificial intelligence becomes popular. Successful applications of IoT, AI, and big-data analytics have already reported in chemical industry. On the other hand, many companies are still struggling to introduce smart technologies. In this symposium, several good application cases of smart technologies will be shown to clarify the methods and challenges to advance smart revolution in chemical plant.
